Lillian Fletcher was born in Sault St. Marie. Here she graduated from high school. She then attended the Mason County Normal from which she graduated in 1916. There followed a period of teaching and subsequent attendance at Western State Normal where she received her Life Certificate in 1923, Next, she attended Michigan State Normal College to receive her BS degree. During this period of time she won the Kellogg Foundation Scholarship and attended Ohio State College in the summer. Miss Fletcher taught rural before coming to Homer in 1924. H her teaching between the fifth and the Methodist Church, the Pres library and a small school While the new school Miss Fletcher in a little grounds.
