CLASS PIHIPHECY The Senror Class of 52 20 years later The many and varred talents of the members of thrs remarkable group have by now been put to good use and the members of the 52 Class hare settled down to therr varrous careers A recent flrght whrch took us all over the country reveals the whereabouts of all the followrng 52 ers and the followrng rs an account of therr actrvrtres Whrle makrng our flrght over the States to see what each Senror rs dorng we have Dashrng lack Earl as our prlot and hrs charmrng flrght stewardess Frances Horn We are now flyrng over land belongrng to an old classmate Charles Angevrne who has lard asrde hrs oratorrcal talents and rs now devotrng hrmself to hrs 600 000 acre ranch rn Colorado where he rs carrng for 50 000 head of whrte faced Herefords We stopped off for a short trme rn Wyomrng to take rn the now famous Vera Tesch Radeo wrth the champron bronco buster Carleton Hakes Entertarnment for t e rodeo was berng provrded through the courtesy of Marvrn Lrndsey and hrs electrrc gurtar Durrng our stop at the rodeo we were honored to hear the noted srnger Mau rrce Wrldt grve hrs strrrrng rendrtron of the charmrng ballad You told me you loved me so when I saw you wrth your three other husbands I could hardly belreve Y el' Next came a qurck trrp up to Idaho to see how Janet Rrsner and Patsy Armstrong are dorng on therr potato farm Then contrnurng on to Yellowstone Natronal Park we frnd Duane Peters up to hrs old trrcks agarn He has Just been arrested by a conservatron offrcer Delores Trllson for huntrngbears under sundown wrth a loaded pea shooter Our arrplane takes us eastward now to Chrcago and Charleen Folk Barbara Wells and Iosephrne Cunnrngham are appearrng rn a local nrght club brlled as the Three Flats a srngrng trro We hear therr brggest request rs for Srn Whrle rn Chrcago we stopped rn to hear a lecture by the promrnent chrld study expert Carolyn Curry M, D D T V and B Our next stop rs rn Washrngton D C where we frnd Dorrs Wrlson Lors Peterson and Betty Thompson workrng as gov t secretarres At a restaurant rn Washrngton we frnd Amanda Chamberlarn as Head Wartress and Mary Lou Klrngaman as chref cook and bottle washer Whrle rn the crty we pard a vrsrt to an old Homerrte Anne Hepler recently rnaugaurated as the frrst woman presr dent of the Unrted States From Washrngton we fly southwest agarn over the Mrssrssrppr As we look down we see the rrver boat Cotton Blossom where Andy Srkkema and Francrs Nrchols are workrng as professronal Gamblers As we swoop down over the rrver we see loette Butters and Marcra Lane practrcrng for the Olymprc broad Jump at the wrdest spot rn the rrver North agarn to lndranopolrs where we frnd Don VanDrressche frnrshrng the frnal lap rn the Memorral Day race to wrn for the 6th strarght year Wartrng rn the stands to plant a vrctory krss on hrs cheek rs the famous movre actress loan Densmore We fly back to see our old stamprng ground Homer whrch has become a great rndustrral center wrth the advent of Peter Lucyshyn s Atomrc Lollrpop Manufactur rng Company Hrs secretary rs Juanrta Rrsner Brown the former state shorthand champron We head east now to New York where qurte a few of our 52 Senrors have establrshed themselves We go down to the docks to watch the fleet come rn under the command of Admrral Jerry Blosser As the shrp docks we catch srght of Seaman John Dogan and Wesley Qurmbly swabbrng the decks We drop rn at Madrson Square Garden where we frnd the Men s World Champron Wrestler Dazzlrng Dennrs Anderson practrcrng for hrs wrestlrng match wrth the Collrns Referee for the comrng bout wrll be Isabell Koch Out to Long Island now where we frnd the con tractrng concern of Leach 8: Sons Tom s specralty rs prefab houses as evrdenced by the newly opened Leachvrlle vrllage Takrng a stroll through Manhattan we spy Jerry Lrnton Just comrng from a matrnee of hrs latest smash hrt The Great Lover rn whrch he plays the part of the lover Now we are strollrng on down 5th Avenue where we catch srght of the world famous House of Chamberlarn a charm school under the operatron of Joyce Chamber larn Now on to crty hall where Margre Mrckle as Offrcral Greeter for the Crty of New York harls the return of Don Streets Don rs Just back from South Amerrca where he developed an all purpose potato bug krller whrch has achreved great success Thrs ends our flrght over the country to check up on our former Class mates those of the Class of 52 Wrrtten by Anne Hepler and Margre Mrckle - . - h .
