The members were Pattye Minton, Jean Wiseman, Pharyce Linafelter, Theresa Hough, Joan Barber, Russell Rasmussen, Glenn Donnelly, Thomas Harris, Raymond Anderson, Russell Krumwiede, Gary Lauritsen, Earl Stockton, Neil Krumwiede, Dan Stoner, and Duane Biede. Our sponsor for our freshman year was Coach Joe Larson. We began our school year by electing class officers who were as follows: Pattye Minton--president, Theresa Hough--vice-president, Jean Wiseman- -secretary, Pharyce Linafelter-- treasurer, and Duane Biede--Student Council representative. Our activities began with initiation, followed by Homecoming. Pattye Minton and Dan Stoner were elected attendants from our class. We had two other spon- sored activities, a Sock Hop and a hayride. We enjoyed a trip to the Sioux City Public Library and a picnic in Stone Park with Mrs. Doran. Nettie Barclay was a new member in our class at the beginning of our sophomore year. Our year began with Coach Larson as our sponsor and the election of class officers, who were as follows: Thomas Harris--president, Nettie Barclay--vice- president, Theresa Hough--secretary, Pharyce Linafelter--treasurer, and Gary Lauritsen--Student Council representative. We put on two one-act plays for Open House night. Theresa Hough was elected cheerleader from our class. Theresa was also our attendant at Homecoming. Thomas Harris was our other attendant. We picked up corn at the Harris farm to make money. Our junior year began much as the other two. Our sponsor was Coach Larson. The first thing we did was elect class officers. The results are as follows: Dan Stoner--president, Gary Lauritsen--vice-president, Pattye Minton--secretary, Theresa Hough--treasurer, and Thomas Harris --Student Council representative. Nettie Barclay was elected cheerleader from our class. Pharyce Linafelter was the substitute. Pattye Minton and Gary Lauritsen were elected attendants at Homecoming from our class. Activities of our junior year included County Government Day, a square dance, a record dance, and a movie for our Christmas party. For the Junior-Senior Banquet, we used the theme Moonlight and Roses . The Curly Tale directed by Mrs. Mahaney, was a big success. Joan Barber and Glenn Donnelly were attendants to the Valentine King and Queen, We picked up corn again to help our treasury along. Our senior year began with two less members, Nettie Barclay and Pattye Minton. The election of class officers resulted with Gary Lauritsen--president, Theresa Hough--vice-president, Joan Barber--secretary, Pharyce Linafelter--treasurer, and Thomas Harris --Student Council representative. We had a new sponsor. Coach C. W. Daniels. Theresa Hough and Dan Stoner were our king and queen at Homecoming. Gary Lauritsen and Joan Barber were the attendants. Our Senior Class Play was a three-act comedy called Bolts and Nuts . At the Valentine Dance, Gary Lauritsen was elected king, while Neil Krumwiede and Pharyce Linafelter reigned as duke and duchess. After that, we enjoyed the Junior-Senior Banquet. We had an exciting Sneak Day trip after a hard job of planning it. Our high school career came to a close with Baccalaureate and Commencement. Jean Wiseman, Glenn Donnelly, Earl Stockton, and Joan Barber have com- pleted all twelve years at Homer Public High School.
