' ' Qi .T L ' - ' V x It Y C X 5 X X X The first big e vent for the freshmen was lnitiation held the week of September ?7 through October l This was sponsored by the Junior and Senior classes December 9 was the date of the High School Christmas part Christmas carols were sung by candlelight, and gifts were exchanged After the eachange of g1fts,a dance followed The freshmen served lunch at intermission To top off the holiday season a gay party was held on New Year's Eve at the gymnasium High school, grades and alumni atten ded Confetti, hats and horns enhanced the mood of the evening The annual Athletic Banquet was held April 6 The banquet was sponsored by the Homer firemen for the boys participating hmath- letics each year These boys were admitted free of charge The Junior Senior Banquet was held April 21 in the school the banquet The Methodist ladies served the delicious meal Four members of the Sophomore class served The gymnasium was gaily decorated in maroon and white streamers Favors were set by each plate May 6 was the date of the tea given by the fresh men girls and their sponsor Miss Deirup This is given for the mothers of the seventh and eighth grade girls and ofthe high school girls Approximately sixty five mothers attended Baccalaureate was held May 8 and Graduation was held May 9 Wxllkilkll MV!
