E tary department to present Edna Randolph Warrell's Holiday entertainment entit 2 .1 2 l d uChr1stmas Everywhere A number of the girls also participated in a fes tive holly wreath drill f Shortly before vacation officially began, all the children grouped to the local theater to enjoy a Christmas movie presented for them prior to santa's visit with the traditional Christmas goodies In the classroom a few days later a holiday gathering brought gifts and treats to everyone as a joyful beginning of the vacation A St Valentine's day party featured the exchange of gay valentines by everyone in the room and ended in a feasting on cake and ice cream Pupils of both grades joined whole heartedly in contributing money to the American Junior Red Cross and to the March of Dimes Health booklets were made by all the fifth and sixth grade pupils The booklets contained pictures, questions and answer exercises, and free hand sket ches of different parts of the body Throughout the course of the year, we have read many interesting books as opening exercises These stories have included nTreasure Island' nBonny's Boy and NUncle Tom's Cabinn Our lessons have progressed quite well and we have had many contests to help keep us on our toes As the holidays approached, there was always fervent planning for room decorations, a program or party Per haps the project we enjoyed most this year was our program nChristmas Every where' Now with only a few weeks of school left, we are eagerly looking for ward to spring and vacation we wszww 'Nz vfwwlummwnmssfmwmvwv meavwwrw mm my-mmvwww ww ' nf vwxwuu mr 'I ' ' WWKL Q Q 5 F 9 - A ' n Q n 5 G e ' ' a , Q a Q e e 5 I Q' E E , Y, 3 fx 3 E Q , S ' Q S 5 . .
