Farewell Four years is a long time --too long to forget. We look around and ask --where did it go? We worked, we had fun --but for four years? Now we look the other way --into tomorrow. Suddenly we’re not so tall as we thought we were And not so smart. But we find that somehow We learned a decisive lesson at Homer --a direction into that uncertain tomorrow. Our futures will always hold hope Though tlie world may change And the times change And we change.

Robert Gilpin Principal Harold Clay Superintendent Principal’s Message Seniors, you have obtained one of the most important goals of life in the current civilization in which you must live. Your High School Diploma should prove to be a most cherished possession now and in the days ahead. Congratulations to you for your productive efforts in seeking an education, and in preparing yourself for the world of work ahead! Education, however, cannot ever be a terminal process, but it should always be a continuous process. In our rapidly changing technical world, what was true yesterday may be entirely modified today. You must always be alert to change and be ready to conform to it. The successful people in our world for the most part are the ones that strive for new knowledge constantly. So I would say to you graduates that your educational background has been substantially strengthened in high school. Use it to guide and direct you to live a respectable life in our society. It is time to stop saying you can accomplish certain feats, and it is time to act and prove that you can actually produce when called upon. 6
