StucU t (Z utcit Seated, left to right, first row: Kaye Pridemore, Billie Kiest, Jack Beason, Herb Lacey. Seated, second row; Mr. Busenhart, Carol Lewis, Patsy Taylor, Richard Allen. Seated, third row; Jerry Morgan, Bruce Lube, Dick Felgenhour. Seated, on desk: Richard Smith, President. The 58-59 Homer High Student Council was composed of four girls and seven boys. The President and Vice-President, elected last year, were Dick Smith and Jerry Morgan, respectively. The first order of business was to elect the remain- ing officers: Kaye Pridemore, secretary and Jack Beason, treasurer. On September 25, an all-school party and freshman initiation was held in the high school gym. A good time was had by all who attended, except possibly the freshmen. The Council sponsored dancing lessons for the students who were interested. Many of the students attended the lessons. The Council purchased a new popcorn machine to be rented by the classes or organizations wanting to use it. The organization paid a certain percentage to tha Council on each bag of popcorn sold. On April 2, the student body elected the 59-60 Student Council president, James Wienke, and the vice-president, Judy Fish. The Council enjoyed working for and with the student body and the school administration this year. 14
