Student Council Standing: Mr. Busenhart, Jack Beason, Bob Jones, James Wienke, Herb Lacey, Charles Danner, Jean Magers. Seated: Mike Stayton, Joyce Wienke, Dick Beard, Chuck Krukewitt, Jim Rowand. This year our Council consisted of two girls and nine boys. Last year the students chose Dick Beard as President. At our first meeting Chuck Krukewitt was chosen Vice-President. Jim Rowand was chosen Treasurer and Joyce Wienke was chosen Secretary. The Council sponsored an All-school Party, which was combined with the initiationof the freshmen. During the party we played games, and, of course, ate. At every home game we always had a big delicious-looking cake that we raffled off. This was one of the Council's ways of making money. During the year we sold pennants, ballpoint pens, schedule pencils, sweat-shirts and T-shirts. Dick Smith and Jerry Morgan attended the District Convention at Hoopeston in the fall. The Council visited ABL and we all had a very interesting day. The President for the Council for 58-59 will be Dick Smith, and the Vice-President will be Jerry Morgan. The 1957-1958 Student Council enjoyed working for and with the stu- dents of Homer High School.
