Season Record The basketball teams worked real hard this year to give us a real thriller of a basketball season. We remember those most exciting games when we either won or lost by one or two points. Although we didn't get clear to the top we came along pretty close by tying with Brunswick for second place in county league play. Out ot 26 games we won 18 and lost 8. The second team also did well by winning 12 and losing 7. At the award night of the tournament Bob Stine placed on the all-county first team by a unanimous vote of the coaches in the county. Roger McFrederick placed on the second team and Jim McFrederick and Jim Summerton received honorable mention. Geraldine Frank and Marilyn Schempp received honorable mention in the county cheerleading contest. The Junior High received a trophy for second place in the county. We then played the Wayne County winner and lost. Betsy Hines and Bob Jeffery were awarded the Babe Ruth Sportsmanship award last year. 28
