This was our first and only defeat as we x yt K 15 T Bahsketba I , .1 ey Cm h The Homer City basketball team won 15 games and lost nine in the course of the regular season this year The opener was a breeze as the Wildcats ripped the Alumni 36 70 But two weeks later they received a rude shock as they suffered thre straight setbiclts in non league competition ln league play they were rolling along until they hit a snag with Rossitcr without Bliley they were handed their first league rexerse Bob Barley was again in action after the Rossiter defeat and thc Poet towuers pulled withn one game of th The Wildcats who were looking for xengeance found none as they suffered a heart breaking 55 31 defeat With the Rossiter defeat the chances for the Indiana County League Diadem were out of the question Although the Wildcats reliuquished their holl on the Indiana County League Championship th boys ga ned honors by winning the County Tourni ments Homer drew Blairssille in the first round of the Tournaments The boys jumped off to a big lead in the first game but after Bailey and Kuta left the game xia th fue foul route Blairsxille Vw tl 95914-:yj'1.
