FOREWORD Odysseus took his long voyage he planted many ideas in the minds of the people, ideas which still remain a part of our traditional way of living. The Greek poet, Homer, dis- closed the adventures of this man in his epic poem titled The Odyssey. The Senior Class of 1955 was inspired by these events and in turn has tried to associate this yearbook with the journey of Odysseus. You ask why we have the right to retrace the steps of this famous voyage. Well, the town in which we live is named Homer, the school which we have attended is called Homer Central High School, the title of our yearbook bears the letters spelling the word Odyrsey. The steps revealing the so called hardships, the excitement and good times which always prevailed, the faces and names never to be forgotten-all these and more are brought forth in the coming pages. just as Odysseus' travels will long be remembered, so will this--our yearbook.
