O dana Junior? Eleven Seniors began the first grade in Homedale. The year was 1943. They were Leon Moss, Elsie Jesenko, Gloria Leavitt, , Clydene Eells, Jean Blgyd.. Joyce Uria, Fred Demshar, Barbara Benham, Donna Faulks, and Carmen Carson. Their teachers were Miss Dispiva and Mrs. Clemens? They were taught by Mrs. Mitchell in the second grade. New classmates were Denny Wyman, Donna Lea Tipton, and Lee Townsend. Denny and eft again before the third grade. During the third grade they were joined by Dave Aberasturi, Kenne Metzer, Merlyn Buck, Marion Simpson, Louise Upham, and Myrna Friel. They were taught by Mrs. Swan. Kent Bergeson had the honor of joining them for the fourth grade. The teachers were Mrs. Bowles and Miss Gregory. The fifth grade saw the return of Denny Wyman. Accompanying him were Jim Hinton and Pat Key. Teaching were Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Stimmel. They were taught by Mrs. Saunders and Mrs. Macy during the sixth grade. Clydene Eells left during the year to Marsing. Seventh grade teachers were Mr. McConaughey and Mr. Little. Bob Greer joined them that year, but left when it was over. H They came to the high school for the eighth grade. ean Bloy ejoined them there, and they were all taught by Mr. Claybaugh and Mr. Saxon. At last they were Freshmen! Joining the class were Dixie Lowder, Carmen Salutregui, Geneva McArthur. Carmen Salutregui was elected for Homecoming at- tendent. Elsie Jesenke and Jim Hinton were voted King and Queen of the carnival. Mr. Tucker and Mr. Leavitt were their advisors. Dennis Leslie, Margie Sargent, and Bob Greer joined them in their Sopho- more year. Rosa Lee Ashdown was elected Homecoming attendent. Donna Tipton and Fred Demshar were crowned King and Queen of the carnival. Carmen Salutregui and Fred Demshar were elected King and Queen of the Sweethearts Ball. They were under direction of Mr. Rogers and Mrs. Andrew. Then came the big year! Gerald Vriens and Dewey Henshaw joined them. The class proved their acting ability by presenting June Mad under the direction of Mr. Donal Richert. The biggest event of the year was the prom Blue Hawaii . Louise Upham and Dave Aberasturi were chosen King and Queen of the carnival. Louise Upham was elected also for Homecoming attendent. Pat Key was chosen to attend Girl's State and Lee Townsend was elected to attend Boy's State . Lee also won the Babe Ruth Award. The class advisors were Mr. Fergeson and Mrs. Crockett. The classmates met again in the fall of 1954 under the supervision of Mr. Tucker and Mr. Bostwick. They were rejoined by Clydene Eells and later joined by Marie Henley. Lee Townsend was elected first semester Student Body President. Donna Tipton was selected as attendent for Homecoming. The four big events of the year were the Christmas Formal, the Sr. Class Play., Sr. Party, and May 17, when they left the dear old halls of H.H.S. for the last time.
