THE RIGHT REVEHEHD HEHHU J WHTTEHSUH 1 1 1 1 s HEN MONSIGNOR WATTERSON came to Westfield, he had nothing to start with except a small wooden church. Today, as we look upon the new and beautiful buildings of Trinity we wonder how Father ever had the courage to at- tempt such a great task, and we marvel at the goodness of God in helping him to accomplish it. A We know that if it had not been through the Grace of God, Monsignor Watterson's diligent work, and the ever-ready help of the parishioners, this would not have been possible. Father Watterson was rewarded for his undying ambition in 1941, when Our Holy Father elevated him to the rank of Rt. Rev. Monsignor, and he was again re- warded this year by seeing his Church, Schools, Convent and Rectory completely free of debt. Now, as we prepare to leave Trinity, we the Seniors of 1944, can not do so without thanking him for all that he has done for us during our years with him.
