Gur chief experience was the horror of initiation. This was over- come hy our exhiieration in playing on the intramural haskethali teams. Among the outstanding events were First Fridays, Assemhiies, and solving a prohiem in Algebra. At last the year ended and we looked forward to the next with increas- ing ambition. SOPHCMORE YEAR Our first affair as Sophomores was initiating the Freshmen on Halloween. During the year we followed Caesar through Gaul, hisected angles, learned a little more than just uS'iI vous plaitu and Merci heaucoupu, and agreed with Silas Marner that Ha little child shall lead them. Soon we had our June examinations and looked forward to Juniordom. JUNIOR YEAR Now we are on the main floor. For the first time our class is divided: some trotting into the commercial room for typing and shorthand while the others re- mained in the class helping Cicero against Catiiine. And wasn,t this the year for our class rings? We polished off the year hy enjoying the Prom and Class Night and a few days later the Junior-Senior outing which we had looked forward to for two years. The closing of the Junior year found us prepared to enter the Senior Class. SENIOR CLASS At last we are Seniors! N the early fall of 1957, we, the Class of 1941, were making last minute prepara- tions for our first year in high school. Meanwhile, another one of Trinity's gram- mar school graduates was answering her cali to a higher life. On September Sth, 1957, Helen Gordon entered Saint Vincent's Juniorate, where she spent three happy years. The 25th of December, 1940, saw Helen, at the age of 17. receive the Habit of the Sisters of Charity and the name of Sister Anne Rosalie. We, who knew Helen, remember her grand personality and frienciiy smile, and we hope anci pray her life will he happy in the service of God as everything in her now tencis that way. f -MARY FAYDEN :L 1 Communion Breakfast UR annual Communion Breakfast was held this year on the sixth of June. Under the expert eyes ot the coach the team progresses rapidty and soon the vacancies are amply fitted. 4' After several weeks ot gruetting wortc a welt coached squad is ready for dom- petition. As usual the reserves are few and far hetween. In spite of this handicap we emerge at the half of our first game out in front. But the tack of substitutes he- gan to tett and at the final gun a weary hut hard fought team leaves the field, gto- rious even in defeat. Despite numerous infuries we have gone on to win our next two games in creditable fashion. After two ctose defeats, we gather our forces and proceed to conquer a highly rated Statcn Island team in true Trinity style. As the season draws to a ctose the sad reatization comes that We have donned the motestcins for Trinity for the tast time and it is with overwhelming regret that we say goodbye to the enterprise made possitote through the ceasetess efforts and ever-ready cooperation of Mr. Ford, Mr. Quinn and Monsignor Watterson. f-'ANDREW FORGASH 58 W. Drip . . . and Who's to lBlame? AROOF has always been a tricky thing to build, and, in a way, you can say there was a time when no one was really to blame for a leak. It was just tough luck. .But a good roof isn't just luck any more. Today there is a kind of roof so sure in its pro- tection, so outstanding inits good service, that if roofs bore their makers' names as automo- biles do, one single name would dominate the skyline of practically every great American city. That kind of roof . . . as any architect or building engineer knows . . . is the Barrett Specification Roof. It has topped every ' 'world's tallest building since the Woolworth Building. On some buildings, Barrett Roofs are still doing service after 30, 40 and even 50 years. And, although the roof on your home is prob- ably not this same type, the Barrett name is an important name for you to keep in mind. Im- portant in two ways, in fact, Important because you can have roofing made by this same company to the same high Buffett RO0Hllg8 fauna spasms-rm mmf. andere.: Bunn-uprmfi. nqiinssaap, swam smagm, swag- .aa Rau no md sadism .is one una at am-an sms pmaueu. mam -rs 'ru-vi-, for anna Roads . . .cm-tu chemical- . .. cream. ou rm- we od Prslervltion . . .Wllcr- standards of experience and care, simply by insisting that your own roof be a Barrett Roof.
