Dedication . . . A Silver Jubilee is a memorable occasion in the life of every Religious who faithfully perseveres in carrying out his dedicated role in life. We now pay tribute to a member of our faculty, Brother Romanus. C.S.C., who celebrates this year his twenty-fifth year as a Brother of Holy Cross. Brother Romanus, coming from Minnesota, entered the Congregation ' s postulate at Watertown, Wisconsin, on March 1 1, 1930, after spending five years in business life and after pursuing commercial courses at Gregg College and Crane Junior College. On June 20, 1930, he began his canonical year of novitiate at Notre Dame, Indiana, in preparation for his life as a future religious of Holy Cross. He made his first profession of vows on July 2. 1931. and then continued his studies at the University of Notre Dame where he received his degree in history. He later did graduate work in library science at Catholic University and Rosary College which led to his meriting a life-time license as a librarian. Brother has taught in Indianapolis. Albany, South Bend, and Chicago. He came to Holy Trinity in 1935 and, with the exception of six years at which time he taught elsewhere, has been with us to the present day. With a sense of satisfaction Brother Romanus can look back over the past twenty-five years of a life of dedication to God. his community, and to youth. We consider it a great privilege to add to the festivities of this joyous anniversary. In the spirit of gratitude and abundant hope for the future, we dedicate this 1956 Trinitarian. Pnge 8
