In this year, we, the seniors of Holy Trinity, have seen the culmination of our dream of four years. Climaxing our reverie will be the night of our graduation. This dream was with us as we struggled through our initiation, par- ticipated in the inspiring May Processions, shared with our Mothers in the touching devotions of Madonna Night, and witnessed many other heart-warming Trinity traditions. The realization of the nearness of our goal was evident as we received the school ring-our ring. Without the interest and encouragement from you, our Parents, how- ever, this hope, this dream, would be a void. Discouraged, dismayed, or disillusioned, we turned to you and received what we needed most, com- petent advice well-founded on practical experience. Ideas we believed insignificant were shown to us in their true value. Patiently you endured our shortcomingsg silently you impelled us in times of indecision. Far- reaching ideals were brought from a seeming infinity into the realm of reality by your ever-present assurance that the ultimate goal was within our grasp. Sacrifices, regardless of their costs, were cheerfully made by you in order that we could acquire a Catholic education of inestimable value. It is you then, dear Parents, to whom we are greatly indebted. With- out your valuable guidance and gentle prodding, we would not be nor could not be, what we are today. With sincere thanks, therefore, we dedi- cate this, our Senior Memory Book, to you, with the hope that we have fulfilled your dream. aaa 7?56-7?57 Director ........ ..,.... R ev. Emory A. Ross, S.J. R e s non Verba Class Patrons .... ..,,., S aint Jude and Saint Teresa 6644 Sang Onward, Class of '57 Our patrons are St. Jude and St. Teresa Our colors blue and gray Will live both night and day, You'l1 see us fight to save The spirit of our dear old Alma Mater. Choo, Choo, Rah, Rah, Cheers for Trinity! The white Carnation is The Hower of our class. But the hope of all of us, The hope that wins the day, Is our motto Deeds not Words Of the dear old Blue and Gray. Deeds, deeds, deeds, deeds, Deeds to show our faith, Working to the last, Doing what we're asked. With esteem to pave our Way, To help day after day, They'll be marks of our own class, When we graduate at last. 66444 Wfdfdfly 7 75 7 The story of the Class of '57 is so colorful and dramatic that it resem- bles a play in four acts with three all too brief intermissions. Directed by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, this play was written in the class- rooms, corridors, auditorium, and cafeteria of Holy Trinity High School. Belonging to no specific classification, our story is at times comedy and again tragedy. Timid, wide-eyed Freshmen begin our story by choosing Saint Teresa of the Little Flower and Saint Jude as their Patrons for the four years. Act I sees them off to a good start with the motto, Res Non Verba, as an incentive for the finest in scholarship and school spirit. Sister Mary Lucia, R.S.M., was given the task of guiding the fledgling class through the many problems of Freshman days. Although Sister was with us only a year before being transferred, we shall always have fond memories of the first Producer of our play. Act II finds a touch of pathos in the death of Sister Mary La Salette, R.S.M., our beloved Latin teacher. Under the direction of Sister Mary Felicitas, R.S.H., this year was memorable for the Science Club, the Hal- loween Party, and our Minstrel Show. With the beginning of Act III, a note of maturity, in addition to the ever-present humor of the Upperclassmen, is detected. Many delightful scenes occur in this act to make it an interesting one. We welcomed Sister M. Michael Joseph, R.S.M., at our Moderator. The encouragement Sister has given us in our studies, problems, and activities will be warmly remembered. Highlighting this act were the Christmas Play, in which many of the class showed their talents, the Saint Patrick's Day Pro- gram, the Rhythm and Blues Show, and the Senior Prom. A preview of the next act was given when we voted for the school officers. The action is more rapid and complicated than in the preceding acts. Much work, worry, and wondering seem to fill many of the scenes of Act IV. Climaxing in a burst of glory with music, flowers, and congratula- tions,. this production of the Class of '57 draws to a close with the ever popular happy ending. Although our stage is no longer to be Holy Trinity High School, we shall always have warm memories of our Directors, Pro- ducers, and cast. dmc Obfaliceu-l?57 President ,....... ,. .....
