J. flD'L8ClCZE Although explanations may not be necessary, they are wise, we think, as we present the 1948 Edition of THE TRINITARIAN. We are presenting a year-book in what We believe to be a more convenient size with an arrangement of pictures that presents the Seniors surrounded by pictures of people and events that have made Holy Trinity the happy memory it will always be. So, in order to look at the Senior Pictures, you must look at group pictures, and vice-versa. The Seal used on the cover, and frequently throughout the book is the seal of the Holy Trinity, the endless circle, forming three circles. The text, pictures and format are the result of the planning of the members of the staff. fo gafgez goazpfi fain? a new Priest a new Parish Assistant a new Teacher in Holy Trinity a new Friend to all .of us we, the Senior Class of 1948 dedicate this, our Year Book, in tribute to his Priesthood and his Friendship with our wishes and prayers that God will bless him always. 4 . REV. JOSEPH E. LAING Parish Assistant Instructor of Freshman Religion HOLY TRINITY RECTORY P. o. Box lla HAcK:NsAcK. N. J. March 19, 1948 It is with distinct pleasure that I note the appearance of the Year Book of 1948. Theeius of 1948 is the twelfth to be graduated in my time as Pastor of Holy Trinity, and I wish them well. The diploma has been won by hard work, but courage and spirit have won the day. Success is at your door. It will be yours if always you are hard working men and women. Make up your minds to be the first of t h e first. Strive always, neglect no opportunity, play only when there is no work to be d o n e Then, success will enter your door, and you. will be somebody - not Just anybody. God Bless You Pastor MONSIGNOR EUGENE S. BURKE Pastor of Holy Trinity Dean of Bergen County Friend to all students Miss Brophy's cool procedure and friendly personality is a great asset in controlling some of H.T's. over active classes. Our thanks are also extended for her support of extra-curricular ac- tivities. Our deepest gratitude is extend- ed to Mrs. Hanley for her inter- esting presentations of a boring subject. Her patience and cooper- ation have been extremely bene- ficial and appreciated greatly. a s is as 3 it 5 3: 2' v REVEREND THOMAS F. BURKE, A. M Assistant to the Pastor Director of High School Director of Athletics Instructor of Senior Religion The newest addition to the fac- ulty is Miss Foley. Although this is her first year the impres- sion she left will long be remem- bered by all who knew her. We hope she enjoyed the year as much as We did. Miss Winters will always be remembered for her capable handling of the language classes. Her notable characteristic of quietness makes it easy for the students to like one of their fav- orite instructors. W., REVEREND EDWARD D. HENNESSEY Assistant to the Pastor Director of Grammar School Athletics Instructor of Junior Religion Mrs. Call, though not directly associated with the students, is one of our really true friends. She has gained the admiration and respect of all by her very capable handling of secretarial duties. Mr. Rowitt's efforts have finally materialized. His long hours of practices and outside work were really appreciated. All who are associated with Holy Trinity will always remember his great accomplishments of this past season. is it 9 H F REVEREND DAVID J.
