V. 'N - jfuretnurh A decade and two years ago, the class of 1942 launched their educational careers -in a sea of world depression. No previous twelve years in history contain tur- moil comparable. Our port is now reached, and we find it to be a world engaged in mortal combat- with our very freedom threatened. But, we are ready to take our parts, whether to shoulder arms on the battle- field or to operate a machine in industry, until that freedom is safe, knowing we are solidly fortihed by a foundation of knowledge and discipline and faith. To our teachers, the good priests, sisters, and lay members of the faculty, we are grateful. At times we were obstreperous - we meant none of it. We love them all. To our fellow students, we relished their companionship, and we leave them with our sincere wishes for success. Doius JERLINSKI
