White BASKETBALL Graduation last year was a heavy blow to basketball fans at Holy Trinity who were looking forward to a successe ful l93B-l939 season. Bill Hunter, cap- tain, was the only returning varsity player and most of the candidates were under classmen. Nevertheless, the season was a suc- cess, not as measured by the number of victories against defeats but rather by team spirit and determination and by a really remarkable improvement as the season progressed. A large schedule of twenty-six games was played which included such top- notch teams as St. Mary's of Ruther- ford and St. Ioseph's of West New York The highlight of the season was our upset of the strong Sacred Heart team of Elizabeth after having lost to them previously by twenty-two points.
