THE TRINITARIAN 1939 ORCHESTRA This year the orchestra was formed by the high school students under the direction of Mr. Henry. ln its infancy Dr. Mack assisted Mr. Henry in its or- ganization and gave the beginners their start. As the year progressed the orchestra improved. The orchestra made its first appearance at the Christmas play. Since then it had rendered many auditions for the school. THE PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB The Photography Club was organized for the purpose of promoting interest in photography among the students of Trinity High. ln the beginning of the year the members held a bazaar, the proceeds of which they used to buy their enlarger, and printing and developing material. This club has helped the Year Book Staff by taking full charge of all photography for the Year Book, by developing and printing films for the rest of the school, and by increasing their own knowledge and enjoyment. This club has been under the direction of Mr. William Henry, our senior teacher. Mr. Charles Roth, photographer for the Bergen Evening Record, gave this club many pointers. THE FRENCH CLUB The purpose of this club is to gain a better knowledge of the French lan- guage and customs, through singing of French songs, writing of letters, play- ing games, working puzzles, reciting poems, studying and writing menus, studying customs, and conducting meetings in French as much as possible. This club presented a comedy in French called The Way English ls Spoken which was well received by the student body. The faculty advisor is Miss Theresa Granata. THE HELP YOURSELF CLUB The Help Yourself Club is composed of the Senior girls and sponsored by Mrs. Elton Discher. It was organized this year for the purpose of improving social etiquette, charm and development of its members. Books written on these subjects have been read, discussed and studied. Much has been gleaned from the pages of these books. Iudging from the opinion of the Senior boys this club has done a good job. Ladies of the Help Yourself Club continue the good work for the modern World needs perfect ladies today. Page Thirty nine
