David Suravitch shows his spirit. Tom Barber is caught off-guard. Everyone joins in on the fun, Hats Off! Hats Off To Eagles Day was put on by the Student Council so that the fans could shovv off their spirit, and show their support of the Eagles Football Team. All of the students were to wear their most outrageous hats, but many found it more fun to vvear something old and ordinary. AO TALON Governor's Election The Social Studies Department sponsored a mock Gov- ernor's Election this year. Students gave speeches for each candidate and urged everyone to vote for the one they represented. This activity gave the students of Menard the chance to choose the candidate they felt was best for the job. The future voters at Menard chose Dave Treen.

Pep Rallies Pep Rallies are a special part of life at Menard. During the tall, Football is on everybody's mind. Starting on Monday with the appearance of the first spirit sign, the excitement begins. The enthusiasm builds until Friday afternoon when the gym explodes with cheering and yelling. Everything has been held back all week and Pep Rallies are a time to let it all out. The school is treated to Pep Talks by the coaches, dances by the Danceline, cheers by the cheerleaders, and music by the band.
