Unlike last season, the mighty Eags had both a Varsity and Junior Varsity team this year, with the return of some old faces as well as some fresh new faces. Overall the Eags had a terrific sea- son, with the loss of only one home game, and the winning of the Menard Tournament. Having won all of our District games, and being the first District BAAA team to beat both Pineville and Peabody in the same season, the Mighty Eags came out with an 18- 9 overall record, and third place in District SAAA. Season One of Best Y 9 f The EAGLES Varsity Team had a lot of new faces, but some of last year's veterans returned to lead us to victory. DAVID DEBONA not only led the season in scoring, but also led the team in rebounds. Another familiar face was KEITH JORDAN, who was voted Most Val- uable Player, for being the leader in Assists, being 2nd in scoring and rebounds, and for having the best free throw percentage on the team. Randy Sanders, our leading defense player, and Randy Michiels, voted Most Improved Player, completed the roster of returning players. Some of the new faces included football quarterback DAVID PERKINS, who made a very easy transition from the foot- ball field tothe basketball court. 1 'At If I,,,,,,M KEITH tion.
