GOLF This year our Menard Eagle Golf team proved to stand by the tradition of winning that was established three years ago. The Eagles participated in nine tournaments and came out on top in two of them, The Menard Invi- tational, and A. S. H. Invitational. The Eagle swingers also had four 2nd place, two 3rd place, and one 4th place finish. The team of Tabb Neblett, Robert Polk, Tommy Coughlin, Grady Brame, and George LaHood then pro- ceeded to the regional tournament where they finished Znd. Neblett, who was the school medalist for the second straight year, shot an 81 and a 79 to end up with a two over par 160 for 36 holes. At the State tourna- ment in Shreveport, Neblett pulled through with a 154, which was good enough for 8th place. All in all the Eagles were pretty successful and are looking forward to another fine year in 1974.
