it Western Round-U p On Sunday, November 3, the P.T.A. of Menard sponsored the annual Western Round-Up to provide the necessary funds for our music department. Booths of every sort were lined up in the school mall. Various rides and contests were available to the crowd. The Round-Up attracted people of every age and every religion. Through the many efforts of our parents and teachers, we now have beautiful new choir robes and band equipment. Hey, baby, where did you get that face? Sure wish I were Ronnie. Freshmen Are Forced Into Initiation There is a famous old tradition at Menard of initiating the freshmen into the life of high school. Each senior was assigned a freshman of his very own to do whatever he pleased with him. An entire day was filled with games and jokes that the fresh- men will never forget.
