Where's room 83? Whaf is a unif? And who in fhe world is Blackie? Treading swiffly upon fhe heels of fhis day was 'Ihe Reign of Terror, lnifiafion Day, leaving us wifh aching backs and arms affer polishing and cleaning Seniors' cars and rooms. H' was 'Ihen we presenfed The Seniors As They Look fo Us. Our Freshmen Formal af fhe Claremonl' Counfry Club was punch happy, so much so fhaf coffee sales and raffles helped pay for if. Thaf year, foo, we, fhe Freshmen presenfed fhe school wifh fhe Mission Day Queen. SEPTEMBER, I948- Regisfrafion Day again. We found room 83 fhis fime, buf where did all 'Ihe Freshmen come from? Our welcome parfy gave fhem a good sfarf. There were more foofball games, more rallies, and fhen fhe Sophomore Informal af fhe Gold Ballroom of fhe Palace Hofel preceded by a score of skifs and posfers. Mission Day rolled around again, and we became Indians pow-wowing fhe school fo a day of fun. Then, suddenly, June was here, and once again we rapidly dispersed. SEPTEMBER, I949-- Juniors, shy, buf upperclassmen, we now knew fhe implicafions of fhe ferms maior and minor. A mixer af Sf. Mary's was followed by one af Sanfa Clara. Then, once again, as winfer rolled around, we packed 'our skis and skipped off for whi'l'e week ends. C.H.N. became Heaven in December as we pre- senfed fhe LiHles'I Angel : Ihen, fhe fempo changed as we 'look on fhe March Wearin' of fhe Green becoming soda ierks for Mission Day jigging our way fhrough a foine +oime. Nexf, came a really big day of our college life: af a luncheon fhe Seniors presenfed us our rings. Affer fhaf a picnic af Marsh Creek was followed by a din- ner af 'lhe Claremonf's Lido Deck where we giffed fhe Seniors wifh bracelefs. We fhen moved info fhe Top Sea'I's of 'C.l'l.N. SEPTEMBER, I950- Regisfrafion Day, for fhe lasf fime. This year we knew everyfhing, almosf. Plans fo make our lasl' year a pleasanf one included: a lasf whirl of rallies and mixers: enferfaining fhe Gaels af a supper dance: Seniors as Mr. and Mrs. Sanfa Claus: giving fhe Jun- iors 'lheir rings: and hosfesses for Mission Day lunch and 'Ihe Alumnae Tea. Spring broughf four new en- gagemenfs, a whirl of parfies, weddings, and fun. As 'lhe final pages of fhe book are furned, we receive official welcome fo fhe Alumnae: enferfain Mofher and Dad: difch school for a day: and face finals for a lasf fime. As guesfs of honor af fhe Junior-Senior Banquef we frip fhe Iigh+ fanfas+ic af fhe California Coun- 'Iry Club. Pomp and Circumsfance marches us for- ward for our degrees as we realize fhe chapel visifs, bridge games, paiama parfies, baskefball and volley- ball games, bus rides fo Sf. Mary's, U.S.F., and Sanfa Clara, fhe fhings we Forgof fo do, and always 'Il1e Sisfers, will be memories fo fill our hearfs.
