The May crowning of Mary is an honored tradi- tion at Holy Names. More than ever in this yearls May Procession, that spirit of re: spect and love due a queen permeated our act of hom- age. The high point of the procession was the crown- ing of Our Lady by Marty Slattery, President of the S.S.C. One wreath of flow- ers was placed at her feetg another crowned her head. These ceremonies were rev- erently concluded by Bene- diction of the Most Blessed Sacrament given by Mon- signor Robert Cullen.

Om Zydfbgd Father Francis Maurovich, editor of The Cafb- olic Voire, and Mr. Angelo DiFalco, circula tion manager of the Voire, plead for our sup port in the Catholic Voice Crusade. .iei,:i , . , i t Father Daniel Danielson and Mr. Gerald Hanson en- lighten us about the posi- tive work being done to extend and promote Chris- tian love by the Cursillo and Search movement. A number of guest speakers provided much food for thought for us this year. The Ecumenical Spirit was stressed by many, such as Rabbi Stern, who talked to the Seniors about the jewish religiong Father john Waldie, M.M., who told of the work of the Holy Names' missionar- ies and others in Peru, Sister Mary Berch- mans, HNH alumna, who anticipated for us her future work in South Africag and Father Francis Maurovich, who spoke of his trip to the Vatican and his impres- sions during the second session of the Ecumenical Council. Other guests broadened our outlook on life: Mr. Richard Yee, a professor of philosophy at Holy Names College, made us stop and think about much that we take for grantedg Sister M. Claire Made- leine, also of Holv Names College, showed us how to appreciate the beauty and fascination of poetry. Still other speakers brought closer to l Father john Waldie, M.M., and Mother Wil- liam Marie, Provincial Superior. Neiani Franek, Sister Mary Berchmans, S.N.J.M., and Marilyn Ayres.
