The tremendous response by the girls showed ready leadership and school spirit within our Student Body. This reaction triggered a better under- standing of the workings of democratic government and reminded everyone that democracy is a privilege that must be used in order to make it work. The elections brought in new leadership to some class and Student Body officesg but, even more important, it evidenced an active participation in student government.
