Right Reverend Charles McDonough Monsignor Charles McDonough celebrated the thirty-fifth anniversary ot his ordination in October, l953, with a solemn High Mass attended loy the students ot the high school. Present in the sanctuary were Rt. Rev. Michael l. Ready, Bishop ot Columbus and other priest classmates. The pastor ot Holy Name and president ot the high school gives continuously ot his wisdom, counsel, and energy to make Holy Name a success Monsignor McDonough will be remembered for the renovated Church, the modern convent, the improved cafeteria, but above all for his sincere desire to help students come closer to God.

Elwell Ph.D Superintendent of Cleveland Diocese Parochial Schools Celebrates Silver Jubilee Monsignor Elwell celebrated the twenty-fiith anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood on March 23 in St. lohn Cathedral. Most Reverend Edward F. Hoban Archbishop ot Cleveland, presided at the Mass. An alumnus of Holy Name High School, Monsignor Elwell was graduated in l92l. He was a member ot the tirst class to complete a four year course at Holy Name. He was captain ol the football team that year, and fullback. He was ordained in lnnsbruck, Austria on March l7, l929 by Bishop Sigisrnund Waitz, and obtained his Doctor oi Philosophy Degree in l928. He was appointed superintendent ot Parchial Schools in the Cleve- land Diocese in l946.
