E' Q' 'T JZN Q' fa W, W., Q Nj! DEDiCATiO!X!: TO LITTLE DAVID AND CO. For you, Namers, this book was Written. lt has been dedicated and assembled es- pecially for, you. Why, the entire theme points to you Namersl You come in all shapes and sizes and forms. Maybe you're a Monsignor with a rusty coclcer spaniel trailing in your path. Or perhaps you're a Freshman, still not quite sure where the Biology Lab or Iournalism Room are located. You lift your voices loud in assemblies and fervently during hymns at Mass. You show up on the football field with a never-say-die determination against the bigger guys. You're at home marching in green uniforms, with a tuba or slim flute. You're eager, optimistic, and Christian in your thinking. Yes. Lil' David, you're good stuff, and Wherever you go you'll bear the mark of a Namer. Upon graduation day you'll leave Holy Name a finished product of this philosophy. So, this book is for you and about you. We dedicate our '53 Namer to Little David! l t I TEV, 1.5.3 y 3: Y, MIL Mt , , , . .

To each of these in turn he has been friend, counselor and father, always ready with a cheerful smile and a helpful hand to auide the students in moral and spiritual matters. Holy Narne's pastor and president of the high school is not only interested in the spiritual Welfare of his children lout he also takes a deep interest in scholastic and extracurricular activities. As we rnalce our way around the clock with Lil' David in our '53 Namer We find that Monsianor lVlcDonouah has set the pace for future Narners.
