Benning, Georgia, the 19-year-old paratrooper was attached to the 17th Airborne Division with the Third Army. Pfc. Joyce would have been a member of the class of '45, Pfc. james Joyce i' 'A' 'A' t 'A' i' Pfc. Norman Gerson Marine Pfc. Norman Gerson, was killed ln action, March 5, on Iwo Jima.
