Aki 1. su, HAS We, the Senior Class of 1949 of Holy Name School, as a group and as individ- uals,now unveil for the first and last time, our last will and testament as the time of our departing is near. To Fathers Gipperich and Thompkins, we leave our sincere gratitude for their in- terest and spiritual help. We promise that we shall try to live up to their high ideals. To Sister Eleanor, our principal, we leave our heartfelt gratitude and deep ap- preciation for her untiring labor in trying at least to make us worthy to be called a graduate of Holy Name. To Sister Agnes de Sales, we will our shorthand books, typing papers and book- keeping books to be used as models for fu- ture classes. We leave, too, our sincere gratitude for her teaching ability and jolly, understanding ways. To the other faculty members who were encumbered with Senior subjects this year, we will our appreciation and thanks for their perseverance and patience to put up with us during our four, long, years in high school. Tothe Juniors, we leave our privileges, few as they may be, and the job of being good examples for the rest of the schhol. To the Sophornores, we will the conso- lation that their Senior year is not too far off when they, too, will get to initiate. To the First grade we leave our hope that their remaining eleven years will be as full of joys and a little less full of hardships than were the years of the class of '49. Being of sound mind Q? ? 71 and body we now make an account of our individual tal- ents. I, Carolyn Brown, will all my subjects, report cards and homework to Rita Beckham. I, William Drury, leave my wavy hair and freckles to Robert Goldey. To be bestowed on Jack Windhaus, I, Robert Reddish will my ability for getting I3 Wlll in and out of trouble. To Logan Rapier, I, Thomas Benton, will my ability to get along with women. Good Luck. I, William Smith, will my many Z's in Spanish to Lawrence Poff. To Anna Jean Wilson, I, Dorothy Thomp- son will my natural curls. I, Mildred Carroll, leave my seat in the senior room to my cousin, Mary Ann Ham- ilton. I hope she is capable of filling it. I, Eleanora Johson, will my love for Spanish to my sister, Julia Etta. To T. A. DeKemper, I, Leo Mattingly leave my ability to get Shop and Agriculture credits. , I, Robert Bohn, will my long, lost seat in the back of the room to Donald Greenwell. I, Isabel Speaks, bestow my tidy ways and graceful walk to Patricia Gaines. To Edward Ferguson, I, Marie Fenwick, will my big feet and five foot nine stature. I, James I-Iager,will my car fwhat's left of itl to my little sister, Ann. To Ralph Jung, I, Patricia Ford will my most capable talking ability. I, Henry Neel, leave my artistic ability and lazy walk to Margaret Schwartz. To my sister, Jane, I, Elizabeth Payne, will my grown-up manners in school. I, Phyllis Watkins, will my undying love for Chemistry to Evelyn Peters. I, Susan Johnson, leave my Southe rn drawl and my interest in Sociology to Fran- ces Alvey. I, Juanita Pressley, will my love for the Chemistry Lab to Jane Walker. I, Evelyn Thomas,will my love and abil- ity for getting Spanish to Sara Fenwick. Finally, to Holy Name, The Class of '49 wills its hope that our Alma Mater will al- ways be associated with good teachers, good subjects, and good pupils.
