SOPHCDMORE This year's class is down to ten, having losta few during the summer. They were noticeably U101' 9 mature and were set to have a good year. At the start of school, the sophomores set a goal before themselves- to be more attentive in class, and to be courteous and kind to the faculty and fellow students. To their treasury they added near 310. which will provide for class activity later in the school year. The class officers are: John Dannegger, Presidentg James Wasser, Vice-presidentg and James Schneider, Secretary-Treasurer. FRESHMEN 1 28 The freshmen this year numbered seventeen at the beginning of school. Six of these found out that the priesthood was not their vocation and they dropped out. The rest have done a few things worthy of note: First of all, under the advisorship of Father Lienert, they started a type collection of United States coinage. They collected many coins and planned to put them in the library for pub- lic viewing. Next they had a raffle and the prize was two silver dollars. Then someone came up with the idea of a white elephant sale. The freshmen gathered up their old playthings, including stampbooks, etc. So far the fresh- men have collected 312. in the treasury. After this year the freshmen will have three more years of study at I-l.F.S., which will aid them in their goal- the priesthood. The officers of the class are: John Ferrara, Presi- dem: James Boyer, Vice- president, and John Malloy, Secretary. sponsored by PARKER'S GARAGE, HA 8-1411 10530 Lackland Rd., Overland 14, Missouri follf ' hand great learn in The Famil
