The Light From Within ls the Light That Shines Christmas excitement began with Wishing on a Star, held December 2 at the Glendale Civic, and grew as the Glee Club produced A Touch of Christ- mas. Then Stella and her student body crew began to invade Block 2 daily with armloads of cards and packages. Overnight, a large tree, tinsel garlands, locker and door decorations appeared. brightening the halls. ln the classrooms, Social Action Angel Trees offered everyone a way to send toys to Baja. On December 2l, after a morning program of Glee Club songs. choral readings by the speech classes. and a climactic Candlelighting Mass, faculty and students went home to begin their celebration of the Christmas season. --E gg EVENTS 23

24 Eighth Graders Sample Future H.F. Life Open House at Holy Family involved both stu- dents and faculty as French and Spanish dia- logues, poetry projects, and refreshments were prepared for the big night. Visitors assembled first in the auditorium for the narrated slide documentary about the school, presented by members of the communi- cations class, under the direction of Sr. Rose- mary. Then came the tour: watching a dissection in biology lab, playing a history game, viewing an art display, enjoying a series of scenes from Jane Eyre staged by English I.
