hat's Brewing? A Three-Day Halloween Fund-Raiser Goblins, witches, and ghosts all made way for the all-new Halloween Carnival. Months before the special date, willing workers mobilized for action under Mrs. Lile, Mrs. Mullen, and Mrs. Pizzo. Three was the magic number: three raffle books to sell, three hours to work, three days to jamboree. Clowns, gypsies, and Scarlett O'Hara staffed the booths, giving away stuffed animals. School officers tumbled into the dunking booth for a mere quarter. The siren on the Round-up competed with the screams of the daring people on the Sizzler. Late Sunday night the carnival fold- ed, and the workers went home to or- dinary living. But the thousands of dollars they had earned lay ready to be put to work. +A, ,553
