Citizens of Gotham City Welcome The Class of 'Sl Can you tell me where Block 7 is? was the cry of bewildered freshmen as they wandered through the halls clad with Super- friend posters. More at home later, freshmen lunched at the sophomore-junior get-to-gethers and became ac- quainted with the variety of clubs during the installation of club officers. The old prank on the pizza parlor happened to Holy Family. A second lunch, enough for the school, arrived. Students came to the rescue, buying and consuming the entire order. Climaxing the week was a Mass celebrated by Msgr. Lirette, who stressed, Do it for the ones in between, the ones not big or little. Seniors and freshmen had an afternoon of football, shaving cream, and water balloons, high- lighted by Msgr. Lirette's hello from the helicopter. By the end of the week everyone was unit- ed in friendship.

hat's Brewing? A Three-Day Halloween Fund-Raiser Goblins, witches, and ghosts all made way for the all-new Halloween Carnival. Months before the special date, willing workers mobilized for action under Mrs. Lile, Mrs. Mullen, and Mrs. Pizzo. Three was the magic number: three raffle books to sell, three hours to work, three days to jamboree. Clowns, gypsies, and Scarlett O'Hara staffed the booths, giving away stuffed animals. School officers tumbled into the dunking booth for a mere quarter. The siren on the Round-up competed with the screams of the daring people on the Sizzler. Late Sunday night the carnival fold- ed, and the workers went home to or- dinary living. But the thousands of dollars they had earned lay ready to be put to work. +A, ,553
