This year he took over the head cheer leader spot and helped encourage our athletes to higher things. His 'dramatic abilities were brought out in Percy Wins, Everyman, and Thanksgiving Day Family Style. while his favorite actors are Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Danny Kaye, and T riggerg his hobbies are collecting match book covers and recordsg his favorite expression, Say now, how about that! and his favorite subjects are trigonometry and mathematics. -H t That million dollar smilef, hlARY FRANCES LOUISE FOLEY i Alfie Holy Family Grammar School Commercial Course Mary is talkative. lovable, happy, and sincere. Her quick wit and sunny disposition make her a popular student. A member of the Senior Commercial Club, Mary enjoys dancing, bowling. and attending basketball games. Having Monsignor read report card marks aloud is her pet aversion. She plans to enter the business world. Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others, Cannot keep il from themselves. W ELIZABETH ANNE FRANCIS Bettie Saint Mary School Scientific Course Bettie, as she is fondly called by her classmates. is an attractive, tall, red-haired miss, frequently seen in many Holy Family plays, having appeared in Sing a Song of Sixteen, Are You Mr. Butterworth? and Mother McAuley. She has been active in many clubs, including the art club, dramatic club, science club, and was president of the international rela- tions club. Bettie brought honor to Holy Family by winning first prize in a city wide essay contest on I Speak for Democracy. Often she may be heard exclaiming, I got a charge out of that! Bettie's favorite subject is mathematics: she also enjoys playing the piano. A brother Paul graduated in 1945. To all who know her slle is a friend, And her virtues totaled are no end. 24

CLAIRE MARIE LOUISE DAVIGNON Saint Mary School Commercial Course CZlaire's dream to own a plaid convertible has been the cause of much merriment during lunch periods. Her favorite expression is Well, for heavens sake! .-X member of the dramatic. commercial, and international relations clubs, she was also chosen as a cheerleader. Dancing, swimming, bowling, and knitting are her hobbies. When she isn't participating in some school activity she enjoys listening to records and designing new styles in women's clothes. t1laire's ambition is to be a designer and she plans to enter the Barbizon School. Carefree, laughing, and gay, Happily treading life's joyous wayf, Holy Pimily frlwllllllldl' School General Course MARIE JANET DESJARDINS rrjanu Saint Ann School General Course janet is an attractive blond with blue eyes and a friendly disposition. She was secretary of her class during her junior year, and a member of the science, art, glee, and international relations clubs. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing, skating and attend- ing ballgames, while history and science are her favorite sub- jects. Should you hear, I don't know, you can be almost safe in assuming that it is janet speaking. Nursing is her' chosen profession and she plans to enter Saint Ann's School of nursing this fall. To know her is to love her For nature made her what she zs and never made another. DOROTHY FRANCES DREW l lrustnoithy, Intelligent, and pretty describe Dot, For four consecutive years she has attained first honors, and has been a member of the art and dramatic clubs. Although she is reserved during class, it is observed that she is quite vivacious at other times.
