The keys which open the doors to universal calm are those forged in our own Holy Family Academy- namely: social morality, economic security, activ- ity, and leadership. Social morality gives access to tolerance and sportsmanship, that is the ability to live harmoniously with ourselves and others. Tolerance of all races, colors, and creeds is stressed in religion classes, and true sportsmanship quali- ties are deeply instilled to make finer characters. The second key, economic security, unlocks the portals to high standards of living which are so essential to the democratic way of life. The importance of self-betterment is emphasized to the student body-another indication of the priceless education given us. So we are thoroughly prepared for different walks of life and are instructed in the fundamental skills of living. Two of the most important keys are activity and leadership. Catholic action readies our minds and souls for leadership both in personal and in world affairs, for it is our duty as good Catholics to make this a better world in which to live. And so, we ask you, dear reader, while keeping these thoughts in mind, to interpret our book accordingly through the scenes depicted throughout the book.
