Semper Paratae . . . DQ do DEAR GRADUATES, While yours was the blessed fortune to pursue and complete high school education under the patronage of the HOLY FAMILY-in the land of liberty and unmolested peace-in the security of the family of Christian traditions--in the atmosphere that gives substance and significance to life and learning, at no time were you unaware of the fate of your less fortunate sisters the world over. Toward those touched directly by the ravages of war, your heart opens with sympathy and willing assistance. For those who happen to be victims of disrupted homes, a poignant feeling of pity and frustration is awralcenedg they seem so lost in a haze of doubt, fear, inconstancy. Be ye, therefore, prepared to draw upon the vast treasures of religion and learning, wherewith you had enriched the mind and soul, to promote understanding and respect for the SACREDNESS OF THE FAMILY. Whatever your future profession or position, you will always encounter members of families. Some of them may be placed providentially within the radius of your influence to elaborate their salvation. As the family is a social unit, it is likewise a vital cell in the Church. With the disregard for the sanctity of the family, the cell deteriorates, contaminates others, and brings about a spirit of discord that ultimately leads to disasters: national and universal. Christ, the Incarnate Word, chose to dwell with Mary Immaculate and St. Joseph, as one family, and thus instituted His KINGDOM OF LOVE AND PEACE. Be ever ready -SEMPER PARATAE-to adorn your life by imitating the perfect 'virtues of the Holy Family, thereby contributing to the expansion of Christ's Kingdom on earth.
