July 20' 1951 SHOULD Bl PRIFIXID TO 'I' E NBWER Most Rev. John P. Treacy, D.D. Bishop of La Crosse La Crosse, Wisconsin Your Excellency: . I wish to offer Your Excellency, the clergy and faithful of the Diocese of La Crosse my warmest congratulations on the completion of Holy Cross Seminary. With the dedication of this magnificent institution the Diocese of La Crosse will be blessed with adeduate facilities for the training of young candi- dates for the Holy Priesthood. I am sure that the Divine Master, the Eternal Priest, will shower this institution with His choicest divine graces so that it may completely fulfill its apostolic purpose. It was my great pleasure to break ground for Holy Cross Semimnw just three years ago, and now in the brief space of three years that beginning has reached full accomplishment through the pastoral zeal of Your Excellency, and the devoted sacrifices of your priests and people. Staffed by carefully selected and specially trained priests of the Diocese of La Crosse, the Seminary will offer facilities to the flower of the youth of you Diocese so that they may progress in piety, di-Scipline and science, to become one day zealous and learned priests in the vineyard of the Lord. May God continue to prosper this holy undertaking and reward Your Excellency and all those who have helped in this work of fostering priestly vocations and preparing future priests of Christ. - D remainwith renewed fellcitations and sentiments of deep esteem, I Sincerely yours in Christ, Arch ishop of La dicea Apos tolic Delegate
