CHEERLEADERS The 1988 Varsity Cheerleaders brought spirit and unity to Holy Cross this year. With the help of Mrs. Deborah Barney and Mrs. Lyn Moran, the cheerleaders created innovative pep rallies and routines filled with spirit. VARSITY SOCCER With all but three returning starters and second year coach Jim Patton, the Varsity Soccer team produced a winning season. The team boasted a 9-6-1 season record, with a Virginia Independent Conference record of 6-2. This total turn-around from last season climaxed with a 2-1 win over Eastern Mennonite, a feat which had not been accomplished in over 10 years. Rodney deGuzman and Mike Lexa were voted All-Conference players in the V.I.C.
