The altitude must have affected our heads because for a while. we were quite dizzy with plastic L'grasshoppers and junior birdmenq. Then we started scaring the frosh with weird tales about initiation. But it reallv turned out to be a wonderful party with japanese songs and dances. This year. at Canisius lligh School. we hoisted our skull and crossbones and sailed away with first prize in our treasure chest. Exams came and went, and no one was sorry - when they were gone. We then showed our charitable side by donating a complete Thanksgiving dinner to a needy family. Proof was given that we still had our ufreshman spirit when we sold the most candy for our Mothers Christmas Sale. Christmas, this year. brought a new pageant. As we brought Christmas joy to a group of orphans. we realized the true spirit of Christ's birthday. After the joyous holidays. we returned to find exams staring us in the face. No one felt prepared but almost everyone passed. XVith the conclusion of exams, we looked forward to the exciting basketball season. We continued our campaign to instill the spirit of the 'Tighting 69th throughout the school, and so we presented these ideals to the freshmen. Lent came and retreat, during which all of us dusted out our hearts and souls in this spiritual housecleaning. Then Easter and another glorious va- eationg exams again, tool Surviving the third surge of report cards, we dove into working on the play: another memorable milestone. The Senior-Sophomore Picnic was the usual round of fun. Graduation arrived all too soon and we said au revoirq to our old friends. the seniors. and usee you next September . to our other classmates.
