Any day in the week she can be seen gabbing in the halls with Madame Bernier in streams of Spanish or tossing unin- telligible phrases across the study hall to some of her Spanish-speaking confederates-hence her title, the socialite of study hall. Her ambi- tion is to go traveling all over South America. Music, especially Debussy and Franck, is her hobby, but she's far from being immune to jazz. MARGARET M. PLUN KET College Prcpamtofjf Course OWN TO HER intimates as Plunk Peggy, this lively Alabamian is synonomous with a teasing smile, a saucily lifted eyebrow, and a Southern drawl. Her most cherished possessions are her monkey, Herman, and her envied tapering hands with those glamorous finger nails. Plunk plans to go next year to Sophie New- comb in New Orleans and major in child psychology. She also favors Lohengrinning it up to the altar and putting a little of that training into practice.

We know her as that still, small voice which always pops up with the most amazingly correct answers in physiography class and as the possessor of that gorgeous crop of fluffy blond hair. She likes nothing better than fiddling with a drawing pencil, except swimming, of course. Duke University is on the must list for next year. LAURA SAWTELL PALMER junior College Course BEFORE CHRISTMAS Laura wrote on her senior write-up blank that mar- riage was her only ambition. We said: How candid, and went home for Christmas. Returning, we bumped into Laura, the sparkle in her eye equaled only by that of the miniature on her third finger, left hand. Nice going, Laura! Atlanta, Georgia, has been her home until recently when the Palmers came to Washington. Holton has seen two years of this charming Southerner, who used to think that damn yankee was one Word.
