SENIORS---T LOUISE DONIPHAN O'REILLY junior College Courre BELLS MEAN NOTHING to Louise-in fact she says she often doesn't hear them! You don't have to look twice at her name, or at herl, to know that she is Irish through and through. Nor must one listen to her long to know that she possesses a unique sense of humor which never fails to pep up any gathering, be it Scroll meeting, composition class, or just plain bull session. With interests and talent galore, Louise unsuccessfully, but charmingly, tries to conceal a wonderful brain. MARGARET H. O'RElLLY College Preparatory Courfe THE ONE worm which will make Margaret appear like a shot from behind the tantalizing cover of the latest and most talked about novel is Virginia, Lynchburg was her birthplace and, until very recently, her home. This year she reluctantly pulled up stakes and moved to the alien land of Richmond. Hollins is her aim for next year, and especially appealing and appropriate is that extensive horseback riding course, which she hopes will occupy as much time as the educational offerings of the college.

---lSENIORS--i-- ANNE NOYES College Preparatory' Cozzrxe A QUIET GIRL with an all-enveloping smile, Anne has maintained a B aver- age and won the coveted prize of graduation. She's another deter- mined one-year-girl. Aside from conscientious scholastic work and the rheumatic contortions of modern dance, she finds room in her heart for one all-inspiring ambition-she says she's going to sleep late on Saturday mornings or bust! Cflonfidentially, Anne, we have a similar yearning- so give us the low-down, will you?D Ohio State next year, she says. MARY HAMILTON O'NEAL College Prcparatofjf Counre BORN IN KENTUCKY, Mary proves the well-known saying that the Blue Grass State is famous for its charm- ing Women. Her irrepressible sense of humor keeps us all going when life becomes too realistic. Mary is appreciated not by her contempo- raries alone-she is the Lower School Director. She is popular among the , younger girls and sits in splendor in study hall surrounded by her small worshippers. Her ambitions are to go to Vassar, and later to make some man a good husband. :ggi Ll-1C'YQ..s.i- ' Q l I I J ' -x:.mkX-e..A.. -N? sltghgx.:-sim, 21 -GMA' -'X' 'E-LX ' 'b.-LKL1 A 'X' lta..b't..g e-.5-ci. --L--SEN VIRGINIA OVENSHINE College Preparatory Cauru VIRGINIA is another of our popular Army brats and, like most of them, she has traveled everywhere in the United States, the Hawaiian Islands, and the Philippines. We know her as that still, small voice which always pops up with the most amazingly correct answers in physiography class and as the possessor of that gorgeous crop of fluffy blond hair. She likes nothing better than fiddling with a drawing pencil, except swimming, of course. Duke University is on the must list for next year. LAURA SAWTELL PALMER junior College Course BEFORE CHRISTMAS Laura wrote on her senior write-up blank that mar- riage was her only ambition. We said: How candid, and went home for Christmas. Returning, we bumped into Laura, the sparkle in her eye equaled only by that of the miniature on her third finger, left hand. Nice going, Laura! Atlanta, Georgia, has been her home until recently when the Palmers came to Washington. Holton has seen two years of this charming Southerner, who used to think that damn yankee was one Word.
