---l-SENIORS ANN E. LUETZENKIRCHEN College Preparatofgf Course As AN ARTIST'S DAUGHTER, Ann comes in for even more talent than is right- fully her share, a professionally paint-bedaubed smock is a familiar part of her costume. She is also a pro- ficient member of the Dramatic Club, having been Well trained through playing in summer stock, and man- ages to sandwich in modeling jobs for newspapers and ambitions to be a scientist. Definitely college ma- terial, she has not as yet decided to which campus she will carry her many abilities. ELIZABETH L. MARLOWE College Preparatory Couture Liz HAS ACCOMPLISHED the next-to- impossible task of being Upper School Director and still remaining fast friend of those she so jovially sends back to school on Saturday morning. In the moments when she is not playing the ogre, she is going to Scroll meetings, costume design- ing, or jitterbugging, rhumbaing, and waltzing with professional abil- ity. Her tiny waist is the envy of us all. It's true-the best things come in small packages! ?5! 'e'v

SENIORS-li SYLVIA A. L. LEWIS College Preparatory Courfe SYLVIA sAYs-quote- I'm a very in- experienced girl! -but in the next breath declares that she has been in most of the states of the Union, to say nothing of Canada and Mexico. She's even lost herself in a flood in Reno, Nevada. Draw your own con- clusions. She is very interested in flying and has already taken a few lessons. She will probably soon be whizzing through the clouds, if plans for secretarial school and nurs- ing allow her any spare time in the future. JO-HARVEY LONG College Preparatory Counre Jo IS KNOWN for her lovely brown eyes, her neat room, and her financial didiculties when she comes to bal- ance her budget. For whom does the telephone always ring? Who always waits patiently, and with results, at the mail tables? None other than Jo, the Bancroft habitue, the conhdante of '7.5. Jo's future plans are still un- decided. Whether to study interior decorating in New York or to become a white collar girl at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is now the question.

SENIO RS--l- MARILYN MAXON College Prepamtog' Course SHE HAS BEEN AT HOLTON only one year, but in this time we have ac- quired a vivid impression of lumi- nous brown eyes, Charlottesville calls, a melodious voice singing along with the victrola. Marilyn, who hails from Akron, says her chief ambition is to be able to understand her roomrnate's North Carolina ac- cent. Eventually she wants to get married and live in Hawaii Cthis last stupelied us, tool. Ohio State will have Marilyn next year and we know she will continue her high scholas- tic standing. BARBARA MENNINGER funiar College Course EVIDENTLY those hours on the bat- tleground of Senor Sanz's Spanish classes have been well spent for Bar- bara, for her study here, plus some outside work in Spanish shorthand, will probably bring her a position at a South American embassy next year. Versatility itself, she skips from brainwork to athletics without that characteristic Holton rush. She has been on the hockey team as well as a member of the Scroll, and this year is kept busy as SCRIBE business manager and president of the Athletic Association.
