Smith, manager, Mr. Pawlowski, coach. TRACK The 1957 track team, composed of 39 members, did well this year with Walt Pawlowski as coach. School rec- ords were broken and the over all strength was the best in many years. The team wound up fifth in the Capital Cir- cuit. Records broken were: half mile, by Leon Fitzgerald at 2:08.5g pole vault, by LeRoy Kennell at 10' 1 , and low hurdles, by Bob Heyden at 22.3 seconds. The team bettered their 1956 record and should improve next year if the pitching comes through.
