HOLT HIGH The High School band, consisting of 58 pieces, is a very popular and versatile group. The band marches at parades, football games and has a smaller group called the pep band which plays for all the pep rallys. The band has played 4 concerts this year in addition to graduation, bac- calaureate, two awards assemblies, the Thanks- giving, and the Christmas assemblies MAJORETTES: J. Jones, Head Majorette, C. The choir's biggest project this year was the operetta, Meet Arizona , a story of a vacation on a dude ranch, with more than 100 people in the cast. The choir also participated in various assemblies, including the Christmas and Thanksgiving assemblies. Four members of the choir entered the solo festival this year. Vicki Stornant received a first rating, with Roger Brewer and Gloria Taber receiving a second, and Keith Brewer capturing a third rating. The officers of this years choir are Pres. The band entered in Class B com- petition at the state contest and again placed in the first division, the highest possible rating. The band is planning to go to Ann Arbor and East Lansing next year to participate in their annual band days. Judy Jones is the drum major with Mr. Winters directing the band. DANCE BAND: G.
