ju .fqoloreciafion . of the sterling example of leadership set forth by our principal, Mr. Spahr, We Wish to say that his ability of assembling facts is unexcelled, and that his style of expressing ideas is unequalled. At times his ideas may not coincide with ours, but we can never fail to recognize his skill and charm with which they are presented. His language is supple and at the same time precise. We regard him as an exceptional man. Always do we find him quite understanding to our wishes and needs. His patience with us reveals that he is our friend, that our troubles rest heavily upon his heart, too. The welfare of the entire school is ever in his mind and heart and stands out conspicuously in all his actions. He puts first things first, and to him who has contributed much in making our Alma Mater a better and grander school, do we dedicate our second edition of THE CRITERION of Holston Valley High School.
