CLASS PROPHECY What strange thlngs seem in toxe for the Senlors of 1940 We were g1ZlH lnto the Whltb globes 1n front of Holmes Llberty the other day when a strange panorama began to un ld before our eyes We saw'llttle she reducedj blonde Jem e Seele Slttlng 1n her cozy llttle farm home readlng story books to t e 11 tle chlldren clustered around her ctalr John Brlnkman seemed to notlce but lltcle the absence of a part of h1S flnger, for he was st1l1 charmlng the falrer sex as 1n the days of yore at Holmes Llberty Coples of the New York T1mes flashed by and we saw B111 Lahman as 1ts edltor and drawlng a dollar a day for the work 'The salary s ' sald B111 mg marrled rather small CAS yet no Fame has come to many a natlonally known nurse 'but 'twlll do untll next June when I am ge one seems to know who the brlde wlll be I of the class 'We saw next Irene Ehresman as She was WOTk1ng for the Red Cross 1n Bucyrus after cons1derable SChOO11Hg She felt that her fame could only grow throurh a war Where she would be remembered as another Flo ence Night lngale Next we saw a scene ln Marlon, Oh1o Ray Ballard hai started a muslc school In h1s flrst year he already had one student Ray tlred of h1s posltlon ln one of Magor Bowes unlts because of the late hours Our mouths watered at the Slght of a manourper stand owned and op erated by the famous hamburger turner Don Povers It seems that when he bought the place, no one could turn the hamburgers to su1t hlm, so he took over the goo hlmself Another great SUFPT1S9 occurred when a walter looked up from the counter and we saw that lt was Earl Kocher Amld a clanglng of bells and blowlng of wh1stles the Pennsylvanla Ra1lroad Statlon came 1nto vlew and we saw Irene Stlger busy at her desk She had worked up from a pOS1t1On as a clerk and 13 expected to become the presldent of the corporatlon soon Shlftlng the P1CtUT9 to A State Supreme court chamber we saw Ar thur Splegel ln plenty of trouble In hls OCbUp8t1OD as a Slgn palnter he had become qulte famou amd gust slgned a contract wlth Lord and Taylor 1n New York to become thelr head desl ner Forgettlng all he learned 1n Bus1ness Law back 1U 1940 he left a Job he was dO1Hg ln Columbus and started for New York The state pollce soon caught up wlth hlm and here he was 1n court wlth Helen Whlte a hls defense attorney ACCOPd1ng to the papers thlngs were not goln so well, for both the defendant and attorney were etpcctod to be g1VCU sentences A look at the finest rural homo 1U the Unlted States showed us lt belongs to Warren Yaussy, the popular 1 ter Farmer We found that he was to take a posltlon 1n the Unltcd States Department of Agrlculture soon ........i .-..-.-........ -, .
