I Student Council—a Year of The Student Council has worked to prove that it is a community service or- ganization. In early December a Rock concert was held in the gym. Admission was canned food for less fortunate San Antonians. A successful fund raising project gave over SI 300 to Sunshine Cottage for Bell and Howell Hearing Masters to aid deaf chil- dren. The Student Council helped a nine year old child with a kidney disease whose family could not support the fianancial burden. In addition to community welfare pro- jects the Student Council sponsored one of the best attended Crystal Balls in Holmes history. Students’ welfare, privi- leges at school and in the community were also the Council’s concern. The theme and goal of the 1974-’75 Student Council was “Involvement” 78
