First Three Foes Drop 145 Points The season opener for the Huskies was at Northsidc with the Lanier Voks. Showing great offensive strength with running backs Jon Hyde and Willie Mc- Afee, the Huskies rushed for 395 yards to shut out the Voks 48-0. In the second game of the season the Huskies showed tremendous bench strength as they used nine runners to rack up 624 yards setting a new school scoring record. The Green and Gold demolished the McCollum Cowboys 62-13. With the combined offensive tal- ents of Neil Camp, Willie McAfee and Jon Hyde and three pass interceptions by Mike Gant, the Huskies posted a 35-14 victory over Harlandalc. 27
